The Rhode Island Horseman's Association Incorporated (RIHA) was established to encourage and promote all horse activities in Rhode Island, and to join together the horsemen of Rhode Island in a cooperative interest in horse activities, especially in horse shows and breeding.

There is a schedule change for the July 23 Sara Oden Memorial Horse Show: Ring Two will not start until the conclusion of class 29 in Ring One. (Marty Pena will be judging those classes, up until class 29, and then move over to Ring Two. Gina Chiello Lindell will finish judging class in Ring One.) Warm-ups be open in Ring Two until the conclusion of class 29 over in Ring One. The program can be found here: Sara Oden Memorial 2017 Prize List.

2017 Points Updates

Medal points have been updated as of July 5th. Please go to RI Finals Qualifiers page to view the points list. Note that 10 points will qualify an exhibitor to ride at the finals.

Hunter Ridge has changed the NEHC ratings for their upcoming shows on September 10th to now be Rated B. Prize money will remain the same and it is still A rated for RIHA!

RI Finals Qualifications Change

Attention all Trainers, Exhibitors, Show Managers, Show Secretaries and Stewards! The RIEC Committee would like to to announce the following new points-based qualification changes (which starts with the September 11th, 2016 Hunter Ridge Show). Going forward:

- 10 points will qualify an exhibitor to ride in the finals. (Instead of a win, or possible stand-by list invite.)
- All RIHA Medals will require three riders to complete the course for the class to fill and count. (Same as before.)
- Riders may continue to compete in medal class even after qualified. (Same as before.)
- Points awarded as follows: 1st - 10 points; 2nd - 6 points, 3rd - 4 points, 4th - 2 points.
- There will be no more stand-by list.
